The Modern Jetsetter is a magazine celebrating both British living and European glamour. Prior to the launch of the digital and print experience, I worked with the founder Kortney Gruenwald on bringing her vision to life. The new visual identity is inspired by the history of the word 'jetsetter' which dates back to the 19th century. The aesthetic and ethos of the magazine embodies the 'cafe society' lifestyle of emancipated woman who gathered in fashionable cafes and restaurants.
The typography is inspired by the quintessence of the magazine: British. Finding inspiration in the facades of countryside shops in the countryside, the timeless typography marries the British warmth of the country with the historical elegance of country estates.
